Justin Brown will discuss the role of exercise and cancer symptoms, the effect of exercise on recurrence, fatigue, sleep and anxiety. About the presenter

Justin C. Brown, MA, CSCS is a PhD student in the Division of Clinical Epidemiology in the Perelman School of Medicine – University of Pennsylvania. A clinical strength and conditioning specialist, and active cancer researcher, Justin holds degrees in exercise physiology and kinesiology.

Justin previously served as a clinical exercise physiologist at the University of Connecticut. He joined the University of Pennsylvania as a cancer energetics fellow in 2011. His clinical responsibilities include providing physical rehabilitative training, as well as providing consultations to cancer survivors interested in starting physical rehabilitation. His research interests are in energy balance (physical activity and diet) and their association with outcomes such as quality-of-life and cancer recurrence among people with colorectal cancer.
