The Best of the Breast

Breast_Cancer_Awareness_MonthHere at OncoLink, we’ve had some great blogs about breast cancer related topics over the years. In honor of breast cancer awareness month, we thought it would be fun to share our favorites. So enjoy “the best of the breast” on OncoLink!

Most certainly, Alysa’s blogs are always spot-on. As a long-term survivor, she presents what many survivors experience in a way no one else could. I’m sure many survivors will read her blogs with their heads nodding in agreement. Here are two of our favorites:
In the Name of Pinkness
Dear Doctor

Bob Riter’s Cancer Columns appear regularly on OncoLink, but many may not be aware that Bob is a long-term breast cancer survivor. He serves as the Executive Director at the Cancer Resource Center of the Finger Lakes, a role that puts his personal experiences to work in helping others. His columns are insightful and educational. Two of our favorites are:
I Have Cancer. What’s New With You?
Wearing My Cancer Sucks Button

OK, so Rodney isn’t a breast cancer survivor, but his blogs hit home for many survivors and the fear of cancer recurring crosses all diagnoses.
I Don’t Mean to Frighten You, But….

A few of us have shared our own run-ins with mammograms, pink ribbons and the anxiety of October. We hope sharing these experiences can help others going through similar experiences.
“We’re Ready for You, Ms. Bach” – Confronting Anxiety of a Routine Mammogram
The Dreaded Mammogram Call Back

We hope this “best of” introduced you to a blogger whose work you haven’t read before or shared a blog to which you could really relate. Enjoy the fall- and don’t let all the pink make you dizzy.
