Welcome – A Note from Our Editor in Chief

Welcome to the OncoLink Blog. This blog gives our readers a chance to react to and comment on key cancer news topics and provides a forum for OncoLink Experts and readers to share opinions and learn from each other.

Our goal for this blog is to continue the conversation we have been having with our readers since 1994. The OncoLink Team is run by Doctors, Nurses and Survivors. We have always felt that the ability to relate to our readers helps us gain insight on educational content. Blog technology is a great way to connect readers from all over the world. It is our hope that this blog will create a safe space for all interested folks in the cancer community to engage in helpful discussions on cancer topics.

At OncoLink’s Blog we want to help everyone stay on topic. For this reason, our blog will be moderated by the OncoLink Nurses. We hope your comments will add — not detract — from conversations important to our readers in the cancer community. Please understand that we have a very diverse audience, which includes children. Please avoid profanity, publishing the personal information of others, libelous statements and pornography. Please make sure that all criticism is constructive. All blog comments are published at the moderator’s discretion. We reserve the right to edit or delete comments as we feel necessary.

Please do not make requests for medical advice or second opinions. Your conversations on this blog are not a replacement for consultation with your physician. If you have specific questions you can visit our Web site, www.oncolink.org, for information.

Sincerely,

James M. Metz, MD
Editor-in-Chief, OncoLink
