Health Insurance Webinar Series

I never thought I would become an expert in health insurance; especially since it is something I have been lucky enough to always have.  But here I am, an oncology social worker with a special affinity for getting folks educated and informed about health insurance, how it works, how to use it, what to look out for and why it is necessary.

I’m so proud to introduce you to this year’s OncoLink Health Insurance Webinar Series.  This series is free to all who are interested in learning more.

I’ve prepared short sessions (no one module is longer than 20 minutes; most are under 10 minutes) on the following topics:

  • Health Insurance 101
  • Medicare A and B
  • Medicare Advantage Plans (Medicare Part C)
  • Medicare Part D
  • Medicare Supplemental Plans
  • The Affordable Care Act
  • Medicaid
  • COBRA

Health insurance in the United States is in trouble; regardless of where you access your coverage. It is so important that all Americans understand how health insurance works, what it might cost us and how to navigate our insurance coverage LONG BEFORE we get sick, have an accident and need to use our insurance.  So, make a mug of your favorite beverage and give a listen to some or all of of insurance webinars. Also, join us for our “All About Open Enrollment” Tweet chat on Tuesday, November 7th at 2pm ET/11am PT.  Cancer and insurance experts will answer common questions about navigating open enrollment for both Affordable Care Act and Medicare plans.  Not sure how to participate in a tweet chat? Check out our blog for instructions.  #getcovered
