After Steve Gould was diagnosed with Non-hodgkin's lymphoma in 1995, he started his sixth book of cartoons which he called "Thank God It's Only Cancer." When his cancer returned two years later, he wrote his second book about cancer, "A Lighter Look at the 'C' Word," which took a "lighter look at the serious world of cancer." Through humor, these books have helped cancer patients and their friends and families.
