Topics Covered: This topic will address important advances in screening, treatment, prevention and understanding of the genetics of prostate, testicular and other cancers affecting men. Primary care physicians, urologists, oncologists, surgeons, radiologists, and other allied health care professionals who participate in this course will learn evolving techniques for early detection and prevention of prostate cancer, as well as recent advances in surgical, radiological and systemic treatment of prostate, testicular and other cancers, and issues of survivorship for male gender cancers. They will also learn about the impact of genetic etiology on the treatment and management of renal cancer and about hereditary cancer syndromes that predispose men to breast, colorectal and genitourinary cancers, and how to identify patients in their practice who are appropriate for genetic cancer risk assessment services.
