AdV-tk Plus Valacyclovir Safe in New Malignant Gliomas

Aug 18, 2011 - The administration of an adenoviral vector containing the herpes simplex virus thymidine kinase gene, plus valacyclovir, is safe and can be delivered with surgery and accelerated radiation in patients with newly diagnosed malignant gliomas, according to a study published online Aug. 15 in the Journal of Clinical Oncology.
