Kristen M. Marino completed her studies in Graphic Design Communication and Photography at the Philadelphia University. The idea for Felicia's Story grew from Ms. Marino'swork on her capstone project, during which she spent significant time with Felicia, her family, physicians, and support staff. She developed an intense interest in the treatment protocol for major childhood illnesses. This prompted her to follow Felicia's continued progress and pursue the publication of her book. Sep 4, 2014 - Angelina Jolie's public announcement that she had received a preventive double mastectomy because of her increased risk of breast cancer may have helped double genetic testing rates at a Canadian cancer center. This finding is scheduled to be presented at the American Society of Clinical Oncology's 2014 Breast Cancer Symposium, held from Sept. 4 to 6 in San Francisco.
