There are support groups available in many communities, but also online. You can start by contacting the American Cancer Society (800-ACS-2345; www.cancer.org), which maintains a national database of support group resources.

There are also many sources for online and phone based support groups including Cancer Care http://www.cancercare.org/support_groups
