Portrait of a New Life is about finding strength and moving
on after a devastating loss. Twelve years ago, I was fi rst
diagnosed with cancer. During those first two years, my art was
about fear, loss and regeneration. My work always has been
autobiographical, and since I use myself as a model, my sculptures
have only one breast.
