Sanctuary deals with the finality of separation. This piece was
created long after my own bout with ovarian cancer, my boyfriend's
death from melanoma and my uncle's struggle with cancer. However,
the lingering memories remain as prayers and meditations on the
eternal human obsession: the mystery of death, time and of the
possibilities of a place beyond.
