ED After Surgery
Dear OncoLink "Ask The Experts,"
It has been a year after my husband's surgery, he still has sexual difficulty is this normal?
Alan J. Wein, MD, Professor and Chair of the Division of Urology at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, responds:
It could take up to two years for erectile function to return, in the meantime, you might consider, assuming you have tried the oral medications, the vacuum erection device or penile injections. Your urologist should be able to advise you about both of these.
