Are there any treatments for a person with Stage IV lung cancer?

There are several treatments for patients with late-stage or metastatic lung cancer. While these treatments are not able to cure the cancer, treatments for Stage IV lung cancer can improve quality of life and extend overall survival. Depending on the type of lung cancer, you may get either oral pills or chemotherapy that is given into the vein.
