DescriptionThe Jejunal Button is a special type of feeding device that is surgically placed into the intestine (jejunum). The jejunal feeding is used to deliver nutrients directly in the jejunum if one is unable to eat or eat enough to maintain adequate nutritional status. The device is level with the skin. During the feeding, an adaptor is used. When the feeding is finished, the adaptor is removed and the safety plug is closed. |
