It's Malignant cut paper 16 x 20 inches 1995"Is it benign or malignant?" is the first question I asked when my grandmother and mother were diagnosed with a tumor. My cut-paper reflects the worry, fear, and denial when the word "cancer" is heard. Three people very close to me died of the illness: my grandmother, mother, and father. My cut-out design represents my interpretation of how cancer scares and saddens me.
