Bernard Levin, MD is the chair of the American Cancer Society's National Advisory Task Force on Colorectal Cancer and vice president for cancer prevention at the University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center. Dr. Levin has written a complete and informative guide to colon and rectal cancer. Colorectal Cancer is an important reference for anyone interested in the prevention and treatment of these cancers.

There is a strong emphasis on prevention and early detection of cancer throughout this book. The book starts by explaining the normal functions of the intestinal tract.
