Our Commitment to the Community

Since 1982, Penn Wissahickon Hospice has grown from serving specific areas of Philadelphia and Montgomery County to encompass the entire Greater Philadelphia region. As a community-based hospice, Penn Wissahickon Hospice recognizes the importance of community resources in providing quality hospice care. We work with churches and community organizations to further our mission and depend on community volunteers to work with hospice patients in their own neighborhoods.

Penn Wissahickon Hospice also recognizes that each community is different and has its own needs. In acknowledging different community needs throughout the Greater Philadelphia region service area, Penn Wissahickon Hospice establishes an office in each community it serves to ensure high quality, community-sensitive hospice care.
