The internet can be a valuable resource for a patient who wants to find out more information about their disease. However, remember that not every website contains accurate and reliable information. The websites listed below offer up to date information and resources.

 

Hospice Foundation of America

Provide information about hospice as well as a nationwide hospice directory and continuing education for healthcare professionals.

National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization(NHPCO)-Caring Info

Provides education about hospice and palliative care including video educational modules, information and forms for completing advanced directives, caregiver support and bereavement resources.  Some content available in Spanish and Mandarin

Cancer Care: Grief and Loss Programs

Provides free professional support services to people who have lost a loved one to cancer.  Services include online and face to face support groups, educational workshops and publications.

Get Palliative Care/Center to Advance Palliative Care

Offers educational resources about palliative care as well as “find a team” tool to locate palliative care in your area.

Engage with Grace

Provides educational resources for patients, children, caregivers and those coping with bereavement.
