Photodynamic Therapy Cost-Effective for High-Grade CIN

Sep 6, 2011 - In Germany, photodynamic therapy (PDT) using hexylaminolevulinate has the potential to be a more cost-effective treatment for high-grade cervical intraepithelial neoplasia than conization, and implementation of PDT may reduce perinatal morbidity and associated costs, according to a study published in the September issue of Lasers in Surgery and Medicine.
