In honor of cancer prevention month, we are featuring a new cancer prevention “short” each week. These short videos will focus on topics related to cancer prevention and screening.

Dr. Vachani discusses lung cancer risk, prevention and the current recommendations for lung cancer screening.

About the presenter

Anil Vachani, MD is a Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and the Veteran’s Administration Medical Center in the Pulmonary and Critical Care Divisions. Dr. Vachani is the director of the Lung Nodule Program at Penn Medicine.

  1. Hi my name is David Adams I have smoked for 30 years and Lately I have been feeling very tired and have back pain that doesn’t goes away I like to know how to have a lung cancerous test or screening test

    1. Hey David, It might be a good idea to reach out to your primary care provider to get the process started. You and your provider can start a discussion about what testing would be best.
