Agenda: The one-and-a-half-day program, held each year, is designed to provide practitioners with an update on advances in the treatment of blood diseases with the intent of addressing educational gaps and improving competence in daily hematology practice. The smaller, clinically focused program format provides attendees with ample opportunities to discuss their actual patient cases and practice challenges with experts in the field. Additionally, in order to enhance the exchange of program content, panel discussions and "lunch with the experts" are included in the meeting content.

Jun 4, 2013 - Over 90 percent of oncologists in the United States reported that shortages of cancer drugs between March and September 2012 affected patient treatment, forcing them to switch to more expensive drugs and generally compromising patient care, according to a study presented at the annual meeting of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, held from May 31 to June 4 in Chicago.
