My father's ability to discuss his illness gave me an opportunity to create artwork that celebrates the gift of insight that terminal illness brings to those willing to listen and share with others its instructive messages. I feel very blessed that my father has become, in a way, my Muse, challenging and inspiring me to give a visual voice to his insights. Peoples' responses have been extremely gratifying: because all have experienced some type of loss in their lives, they are able to relate very deeply to this work. I feel honored that my art has given people a vehicle to get in touch with these feelings.
