This is what I saw when I looked at my friend Sheila after she had a breast removed. She likes this painting and title, and I do, too. It shows how she felt and sometimes continues to feel.

I am 62 years of age, a graduate of Tyler School of Fine Arts of Temple University, an artist, and retired teacher. My sister and grandmother both fought cancer and had a breast removed. It was once suspected that I also had cancer, but after being totally terrified, I learned it wasn't true.
