  December Isn't Cancer Awareness Month

Lung Cancer Awareness

If you read my recent blog, Are You Aware?, you might know that there is no cancer awareness month for December. But that doesn't mean we should forget cancer this month. In fact, I'd argue we should seek out friends, family and acquaintances dealing with cancer and be "aware" of how this affects their holiday. Make the holidays a little less stressful for those facing so much by being their Holiday Helper, I promise; it will make you feel special too.

Making the Most of the Holiday Season

When someone you love has cancer, the holiday season can be overwhelming. The OncoLink Holiday Survival Guide provides helpful hints, creative gift ideas and precious holiday memories from cancer survivors and their families.

Get some ideas on how to help your friend or loved one going through treatment from survivors Alysa Cummings and Bob Riter. Bob also provides ideas for making this holiday special for someone with advanced cancer, for whom the season may be particularly difficult. Find tips for making the most of the season in this oldie but goodie webchat.
