Low-Frequency Gene Variant Linked to Brain Tumors

Aug 29, 2012 - A low-frequency gene variant, rs55705857, is strongly associated with the risk of developing gliomas, with the strongest association seen in the presence of mutations in IDH1 and IDH2, according to a letter to the editor published online Aug. 26 in Nature Genetics.
