Autologous Stem Cell Transplant or Bone Marrow Transplant

An autologous stem cell transplant, which uses the patient's own blood cells, can be used to treat a variety of illnesses including leukemias, MDS, multiple myeloma, Hodgkin's and non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, testicular cancer, and neuroblastoma.

Allogeneic Transplant (Bone Marrow & Stem Cell)

An introduction to allogeneic bone marrow or stem cell transplant. In this type of transplant, cells from a donor are infused into a patient after the patient has received chemotherapy and in some cases radiation. It is used to treat some cases of leukemia, lymphoma, multiple myeloma, aplastic anemia and sickle cell disease.

Total Body Irradiation (TBI)

Total body irradiation is a type of radiation therapy that is used to treat your whole body with radiation. It is commonly used before receiving a stem cell or bone marrow transplant.
