Penn Medicine Radnor Gardens

The grounds at Penn Medicine Radnor were designed to provide a calming view from the waiting areas throughout the building. The waiting areas face the internal courtyard which is designed with lush native plantings and sitting areas. The grounds include several walking trails that weave through the three-acre native meadow, woodland courtyard, rain gardens, and wet meadows.

Staff, patients, and visitors are encouraged to take a break with a walk along one of the paved walking paths. The map below shows the paths and their distance. A walk from the front entrance to the courtyard entrance along the orange path is a little over a half mile. Take the blue path from the front door out to the service drive and back for a little over three-quarters of a mile. These paths provide a relaxing break from the clinical space and an opportunity to clear your mind.

The grounds at Penn Medicine Radnor provide a beautiful backdrop for the care provided here. You are welcome to explore the grounds utilizing the walking trails! Grab a colleague for a lunchtime stroll, take a walk alone to clear your mind, or encourage family members with longer wait times to go out and explore the beauty the grounds have to offer.

The path has several learning station stops where you can read about the many benefits of this landscape design.

Stop at the learning stations along the path to learn about the many benefits of this lanscape.

How can you resist taking your lunch to this spot in the courtyard?

The meadow creates a beautiful buffer from the road.
