Epirubicin (Ellence®, Pharmorubicin®)
Anthracyclines work by affecting the copying of DNA, which is needed for cancer cell growth. This causes the cancer cells to die, slowing or stopping tumor growth.
Epirubicin affects DNA and RNA in cancer cells, making it easier for your body to kill them. The exact way epirubicin works is not fully understood.
