Ifosfamide (Ifex®)
Ifosfamide uses a process called alkylation to kill cancer cells. Alkylation damages the DNA of cells, preventing them from dividing. This causes them to die. Since cancer cells tend to divide faster and with less error-correcting than healthy cells, cancer cells are more sensitive to this damage.
